British Safety Council DSE Risk Assessment (Level 2 Award)

Introduction: The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) (DSE) Regulations 1992 require employers to assess both the workstation and the working environment of employees who regularly use computer workstations and display screen equipment.

This British Safety Council Level 2 Award in DSE Risk Assessment course is delivered over one day and aims to provide supervisors and employees with the knowledge of the DSE risk assessment process as well as the skills required to undertake a suitable and sufficient risk assessment.

Objectives: On completion of the course, delegates will:

  • Understand the importance of DSE risk assessments
  • Understand the principles of controlling the risks from DSE workstations
  • Understand how a DSE risk assessment is undertaken

Assessment: .  The Level 2 Award in DSE Risk Assessment course is assessed by means of an online exam. This relates directly to the delegate’s workplace and tests the application of learning in a practical context

The Level 2 Award in DSE Risk Assessment is a stand-alone qualification, it however  allows progression to other British Safety Council Level 2 qualifications covering specific risk assessments in COSHHFire and Risk Assessment  and vertical progression to the  NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
