NEBOSH - National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management

Course Dates

Introduction: Suitable for managers, supervisors and those with repsonsibility for fire safety in the workplace.

Course Structure: The course is divided into three distinct units and students have the option of spreading their study over a five year period.

  • NGC1 management of safety and health
  • FC1 fire safety management
  • FC2 practical exam. 

Topics Include:

NGC1

  • legal requirements relating to health and safety in the workplace
  • assessing and reducing risks
  • aspects of safety management and human behaviour
  • monitoring safety in the workplace.

FC1

  • managing fire safety and the safety of people
  • causes and prevention of fires
  • fire risk assessment.

Assessment of the Course: The assessment consists of two, 2 hour written exams (NGC1 and FC1) plus a practical test (FC2) which involves an inspection of a workplace and the preparation of a report. A certificate is awarded for each successfully completed unit.  FC2 must be taken with either NGC1 or FC1 written paper.

Course Length: The course consists of 9 study days, plus half-day revision and three half-days days of exams.

Location: The Bradley Group Training Centre, Kent Science Park, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8PX

Full course          £1,385 + VAT( includes all exams)

NGC1                  £650.00 + VAT (includes written paper)
FC1 and FC2    £ 750.00 + VAT (includes written paper)
