Physical Security New for 2010

Course Dates

Audience: Any person who is responsible for the physical security of premises or property.

Aims: To provide course delegates with an understanding of the key principles of security, design and products (e.g. CCTV and Access Control systems) to enable persons to undertake an assessment or review of physical security.

Objectives: On completion of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • outline the motivations and risk principles for criminal behaviour
  • understand the fragmentation and defence in depth principles
  • understand the techniques used to assess, control, manage and monitor physical security measures

Topics Include:

  • motivation for criminal behaviour
  • identification of risk
  • active and passive hardware systems
  • security versus safety
  • crimes against employees
  • crimes against employees by employees
  • crimes against the organisation by employees

Assessment of Course: There is no end of course assessment.  All delegates will receive an attendance certificate
