About us
Established in 2000 to deliver exceptional safety and risk management training to the Kent area, The Bradley Group now works UK wide.
A division of the Bradley Group, which also includes our risk management consultancy, Risk Training evolved from our consulting work.
We realised there was a clear need in companies of all sizes for innovative and practical IOSH, NEBOSH and general safety training courses that really delivered results to people and companies.
We quickly found that while training at client properties was convenient for our clients, many courses and methods required a dedicated and custom built health and safety training centre, which we went on to establish at Kent Science Park in Sittingbourne, Kent.
Situated in beautiful gardens, our training centre also provides access to a café, shop and sports and social club.
The company was founded by two highly experienced and chartered health and safety practitioners, joined by a team that combines decades of hands-on practical risk management and training experience.
Emma Cundiff, FIRM CMIOSH and Jan Mills, BA CMIOSH, Directors.
As well as working together to establish the Bradley Group, Emma and Jan also actively deliver risk management and health and safety consultancy services and training. Each has over twenty years' experience in occupational safety and health, working with a wide range of clients from start-up businesses to national organisations.
Their specialist areas include health and safety management systems, legal compliance, work equipment, risk management, business continuity, enterprise risk management, health and safety auditing, assessments and training.
Dr. Stuart Cox BSc, PhD, ACGI, Director.
Stuart has been actively involved in health and safety training for several years, specialising in specific technical areas such as electricity, safety critical systems and reliability. He has also developed an interest and specialisation in ergonomic issues, notably manual handling and display screen work.
Stuart has over 25 years' teaching experience including lecturing at Imperial College.
Jane Hartman-Jemmett MSc DipSM CMIOSH MIIRSM MSyI, Principal Tutor.
An experienced and award-winning safety professional, Jane gained her Masters in Occupational Health and Safety from South Bank University. She has over 20 years' teaching experience covering occupational health, behavioural safety, management systems, ergonomics, health and safety law, noise and environmental protection.

Fran Childs, Office Manager. Fran organises all the finance and administration for the Bradley Group, making sure that everything runs smoothly. | ![]() |
Sandie Harris, Client Manager. Sandie ensures that we understand client needs and respond to them. She is the first point of contact for most enquirers and responsible for following up work that has been done to check that all is well. |

Sally Heard, Administrative Assistant Sally helps with course administration and all our client contacts. | Harry Hughes MSc CMIOSH DipOHH, Associate Consultant (occupational hygiene services). Harry is an occupational hygienist, lecturer and also supplies our clients with occupational hygiene services such as noise surveys. |
Steve Glass MIFireE, Associate Tutor (fire safety). Steve is a station manager at Dartford fire station. He lectures on our NEBOSH courses and provides us with expert fire consultancy advice and guidance.
