The NEBOSH Diploma is suitable for those who want to follow a career in occupational health and safety practice. Delivered from our training centre in Sittingbourne, the NEBOSH Diploma aims to provide the underpinning knowledge that health and safety practitioners will need to reinforce their performance. On successful completion of the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety course, the student will meet the academic requirements for admission to the appropriate grade of membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

The core knowledge of health and safety and its application across all sectors.  The Diploma has four units, each of which is assessed separately.


Unit A: the management of health and safety, including the prevention and investigation of accidents and incidents, human factors, civil law and criminal law.


Unit B: the identification and control of risks associated with hazardous substances, including chemical, biological, physical and psychosocial hazards and the provision and maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment.


Unit C: the identification and control of risks associated with work equipment, fire and construction.


Unit DNI: the practical application of health and safety knowledge to the candidate’s own workplace.

Unit DNI workshop plus private study – approximately 75 hours
The three taught Units – A, B and C – are each assessed by a 3 hour written exam. Unit DNI is a 8-12,000 word  assignment that is completed by the candidate and submitted electronically to NEBOSH.
